It might be hard to find an exfoliator that will not irritate your sensitive skin! That is why we are here today to help you in your journey to find a way to exfoliate your skin gently and without any irritations with some k-beauty. This product goes with all skin types, but is stands out especially because it is perfect for sensitive skin!
The k-beauty recommendation today is the SKIN&LAB Dr. Vita Clinic Gently Vita Exfoliator!!
Let’s see what this one has in store for us!
What does it do?
It peels off dead skin quickly and easily while also making your skin glow. It will reduce the pores and remove blackheads and whiteheads. Besides these all, it provides the skin nutrition too, moistening and smoothening the skin.
What makes this gentle for sensitive skin?
Mainly the ingredients!! The cellulose in this exfoliator is a natural cellulose, it gently controls the dead skin – gentle enough for sensitive skin. The safe ingredient formulation is paraben, sulfate, silicon, steroid and ethanol free! It is infused with vitamins, fruit extracts, lactose, and caffeine too – this will soothe, soften and brighten the skin. The panthenol strengthens the skin and soothes irritations.
How does it work?
Put the exfoliator on your face (avoiding the eye and lip area). When messaging it into the face, do this in circular movements for 20 seconds. This will remove the dead skin cells as it forms into some kind of gommage. Then wash it off with water. It is important to note that it is the best to apply this after perfectly drying up your face. It is recommended to use this 2 to 3 times for oily skin and 1 to 2 times for dry skin.
Extra tips to exfoliate sensitive skin
Make sure to practice the circular movements on your face GENTLY, and PAT your skin dry after washing it off. And always use a soothing toner afterwards (for example SKIN&LAB Dr. Vita Clinic – Vita Energy Toner & Mist), and the rest of your skincare routine. Remember to rub and not scrub. If you have sensitive skin, it is always the gentler option to exfoliate with your fingers instead of exfoliating with a brush. The only brush we’d recommend are very, VERY gentle and soft brushes.. but yeah.. then the question is how well will it exfoliate your skin? Maybe with your fingertips are still a better option then.
And if you still decide to use an exfoliating brush, make sure it is cleaned very well and there is no dirt or bacteria creeping in there! Oh and maybe if you really want to use a brush, but don’t want to use it weekly as you might think that will be a little too harsh on your skin, go ahead and use it once a month to really have it all cleaned up to the maximum. Then the rest of the month’s week use your fingers! It all depends on how your skin reacts, even sensitive skin is not all the same!
For sensitive skin, silicone facial brushes are better than nylon brushes and provides mild exfoliation! And also more hygienic~! 😊 Nylon brushes attract bacteria and mold easily. As silicone brushes come in a variety of models too, depending on how sensitive your skin is, choose one of which you are sure isn’t too harsh on your skin. If only some parts of your skin are sensitive, or some parts are more sensitive than the other parts, you can be gentler with exfoliating on these parts! Try to listen to your skin and adjust based on that! It is not needed to scrub aaaalll the parts of your face all the same as some parts of the face can handle more than other parts of the face.
And looking at how many times you should exfoliate your skin, remember, this is a recommendation. You can for example exfoliate less if your skin can’t handle that and just look at how your skin is acting at the exact moment! Again, try to listen to your skin~! 😀
